VIDEO-8 APPOINTS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR AND CEO

Appointment furthers group expansion into new markets

Sydney, 12 July 2010 – Video-8 Media today announced Gareth Collins as their new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

Tim Buckley, Chairman of the Video-8 Media Group said, "Bringing Gareth in to this new executive appointment underscores our commitment to expanding our service offering to the professional media Industry. Gareth will ensure that Video-8 will continue to offer the best quality control, duplication and multi-media encoding services whilst building on our Media Factory digital asset management solutions, file-based technologies and services to support our digital media growth initiatives.”

Collins brings true customer focus with him having had over 25 years experience in senior sales and management roles and in the development of new markets in the digital media space including 12 Years at Cisco Systems studying business models in the emerging broadband connected world. Most recently he enjoyed considerable success as a senior executive at IBM Australia developing and growing new markets for the company.

Gareth Collins said, “My immediate focus will be to ensure that we maintain the excellent service levels that Video-8, SilverTrak and TVD Broadcast are known for.  We will also be expanding our investment in digital workflow and asset management solutions for digital media. Video-8 is already connected to the world of electronic file based distribution and will be helping our customers further realise the value of their investments and assets in that area. The technology behind digital workflows is complex and requires time, expertise and financial investment to get right.  I’m going to ensure that we make that investment so our customers don’t have to. The next 12 months will be an exciting and rewarding time for Video-8 and our clients.”
